1st vintage in 1997 |
The mission of the winery has three parts. It locates
opportunities in the wine market; elevates wines from some of the finest vineyard sites available to
perfection through precise blending; and prices its wines at affordable, competitve prices for contemporary wine drinkers.
Location, Elevation & Slope's first wine, Gain Bay 2005 Cabernet Family, was
an example of what is possible to produce as a negociant; a $20.00 red wine from Napa Valley. That initial
wine sold out swiftly.
Now, the winery is releasing it's eleventh wine in just 4
years, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon - Lake County and has limited library stock of the first Reserve wine, from
2006.
Take your time and explore the wine and its heritage.
Breaking News 6/11
-
Gain Bay's second 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, called "5 Slopes" just recieved it's first award, Silver,
at the S.F. International Wine Competition - a remarkable feat just 6 weeks from bottling. The wine is stunning; rich,
smooth, full-bodied with plum and dark cherry fruit tones, and, like previous Gain Bay wines, delicious. Still
a comparative bargain!

LES's second brand, Buccio, just recieved 91 Points from The Tasting Panel Magazine - FOR A $12.00
